Our Story:

Tucked under the arches in one of the oldest buildings in Venice, on one of the most historic streets in the city, you find Market — a modern Italian restaurant.
The plates are a modern twist on Italian cuisine, designed to be shared European family-style.

A space with a notable history.

In November, 2000, an iconic Venice restaurant, on an iconic Venice street, closed its doors after a remarkable 18-year run. But not quite forever: In March of 2022, suddenly and surprisingly, everything old is new again.
Market completely revises and reimagines what was once the classic, groundbreaking, 72 Market Street Oyster Bar and Grill.
A space that was formerly sequestered behind closed doors is now open and airy. White tablecloths are history; in their place, wooden round tops and comfy settees. The old 8-foot bar is now a 20-footer.
The original façade of patinaed copper is gone... in fact, the entire front wall is gone; in its place, 12 foot-tall glass doors open onto the sidewalk and street, a mere half-block from the beach and boardwalk.
